The existing literatures reveal that no empirical studies have been conducted in dental tourism market. Global assumption suggests that there is an increasing flow of patients from developed countries in North America, the UK and Europe, and Australasia crossing international boarders to developing countries in Asia for Dental Tourism commoditisation, as globalisation continues to manifest. But this speculation is seemed elusive, because such claim are based purely on anecdotal evidence. Dental Tourism as combined field of Healthcare and Tourism need to fully understand why patients are opting to travel internationally for dental work, and their behavioural intentions are not well understood. The research objective is to produce dynamic results based on empirical findings and backed with academic credentials, rather than through marketing surveys.
